Or, you could be here right now experiencing the real thing! (Fortunately, I still have my power on.)

Not so close but nearby south of KPTN at 1500ft AGL  (Harry Williams Memorial in Louisiana)  Screenshot does not do justice, rolling waves with whitecaps and foam on the inland waters, lightning everywhere and the winds had me at right angles to the runway on final at KPTN, glad the Islander can handle a 40 kt crosswind. Wild ride indeed! So much lightning in all directions the screen capture could not work fast enough caught the reflection of one bolt on the water though (it is not the sun but lightning flash reflection - interesting to say the least.

Yes exactly. There you see, I still mix things in English. 😉

I also had total blue sky at FL330 and later FL280, where I had to go down because I had not enough engine power. When the clouds broke up I realized im still in the clouds. Also had a lot of lightnings around me, indicating I´m still inside clouds. It is pretty difficult to fly, since the autopilot does change heading according to wind and there is absolutely no orientation.

Had to interrupt my flight yesterday. This morning (still evening in the sim) It looks little friendlier, getting out of the storm.

I was impressed by how well P3D and AS handled the presentation of fairly severe weather in real time. The graphics were very impressive all over on my system it made using the simulator a real pleasure - but the sim flying was a challenge indeed. Some nice screens blaunawharl.

Closing the adventure with this one. Gladly an airport which got not corrupted somehow and spoiled the whole experience. It was a perfect arrival.

My flights yesterday were AMAZING looking... 737-300 from CS with RealTurb, ActiveSky, EnvShade... it was so good. Wind, sky, rain... just a GREAT experience. Did MSFS/XP/P3D flights yesterday in the area and P3D was by far the most immersive experience. Totally reminded me how good P3D is when it's good!
