September 5, 20214 yr Hey 👋 After pushing back with PBE (voice control, if that matters) after the command „stop pushback“, the Brake Fan button lights up in the FBW A320. Does nit happen everytime, but about 50% of the time. any idea, am i doing something wrong? Bypass pin option is not checked and im not using manual brakes to stop pushback. Parking brake is off while pushing of course. Thanks PS: I hope you dont mind that im back Bryan... 🙂 The tutorial did wonders and i enjoyed the FBW version and PBE to the fullest on my latest flights, its just awesomely immersive and works flawless now! September 5, 20214 yr Commercial Member Did you check your WHEEL temperature? If any above 100ºC ( green arc showing) is a normal procedure turn ON brake fan .
September 5, 20214 yr If it's a fast spin and the ambient temps are high, it's not unknown for the brakes to still be pretty hot at pushback if you were heavy on the brakes on the preceding flight (this is certainly the case on the real thing on 30-45 minute turnarounds, so I don't imagine the sim version would be much different in that regard). I was doing a walkaround this morning on a BA A321 at Manchester which was an hour spin; the wheels were still pretty warm just prior to the pushout, and it's only 15 degrees here today, which is fairly cool to be honest considering how sunny it is here in Manchester, I know that because I was on board the Emirates A380 at 12.30 and that thing's normally like an oven, but it was actually quite alright today. That was a weird pushback for that A321 too; off stand 42 but pushing to TRP 11 - that cul-de-sac is mad sometimes, especially with EasyJet A320s cranking their engines as they go across the road. 🤣 Edited September 5, 20214 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
September 5, 20214 yr Commercial Member It has nothing to do with the pushback. It's purely a false voice detection issue. The system heard "brake fan on", which is an actual voice command. Even if you didn't explicitly say it, the system can still sometimes misinterpret any sounds it hears. In V1.1 of FBW, we're going to make it harder for that voice command to be detected. Cheers,   B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord Â
November 1, 20214 yr Hi With the latest beta the problem on takeoff and landing exists. For takeoff i am 100% sure it is the command BRAKE CHECK. After that sometimes the Co pilot activates the brake fans. On landing i will find out which command is the problem. Â Max

The log displays everything the speech system heard. This way you'll know for sure. Cheers,  B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord Â
November 4, 20214 yr Ok I have done that. On landing the Co Pilot reconized the right commands but set the brake fan too. Strange. Â Max

November 6, 20214 yr Commercial Member The only time FS2Crew would control the "brake fan" is if you issue a voice command "Brake Fan On". And that would appear in the LOG section in the Info Center. But you said the LOG shows no voice commands for Brake Fan On being detected. Are you using the DEV version of the FBW?  B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord Â
November 6, 20214 yr Commercial Member Well, if there's no voice command detected in the LOG, then it's a mystery. Try it without FS2Crew running to ensure it's nothing the aircraft is doing. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord Â
November 12, 20214 yr Ok  Brake fans always been set after approach check without any line in the logfile. very strange.  Max
