September 7, 20214 yr Here is a (disjointed) mix of 4 (interesting) planes I spotted among the freeware uploads today... [1 pic] - The Cessna T-41 Mescalero is a military version of the popular Cessna 172 that was fitted with a larger engine and variable pitch propeller. It is used by USAF/Army as well as the armed forces of various other countries as a pilot training aircraft. [1 pic] - The A350-1000 is the largest variant of the A350 family. For A350 XWB (Extra Wide Body), Airbus switched to a clean-sheet design (rather than a derivative of A330). It is (solely) powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB turbofan engines. [4 pics] - Messerschmitt (P.1075/P.1085) were secret designs of the WWII era...(which never materialized)...two pictures each of P.1075 and P.1085, are below. These designs are 6-engined versions of the better-known Me-264. These strategic long-range a/c involve a (curiously) mixed configuration of four piston engines and two jet engines. The Me (P.1085) is similar to Me (P.1075), but, was planned with all the 4 piston engines facing backwards (i.e. mounted behind their respective engine, otherwise known as pushers), plus the two jets...(all, rather curious designs, indeed),... [2 pics] - Cargolux is the Luxembourgian flag carrier cargo airline with a current fleet of 30 747Fs (16 747-400F and 14 747-8F). It was the launch customer for the 747-8F, but, this, below, is a 747-400ERF, in the SEALIFE TRUST color. Cargolux had successfully completed the transport of two former captive whales, Little Grey and Little White, to their freedom, in Iceland, following a 6,000 mile flight from China. Enjoy...!!
