CTDs after WU6

Do you have any form of overclocking or similar going on with your PC - CPU, RAM or GPU? MSFS is rock solid for me with no overclocking but I was getting random CTDs when I had undervolted my GPU. Seems MSFS is very sensitive to these kinds of changes going by the various forums.

No, I've never did overclocking or undervolting.

The settings of may computer are the same as before SU5.

But the CTDs began with that update and follow with WU6.

OK. With regards to VCRuntime, I don't think it is specifically that but when you reinstall, uninstall all versions of them then reinstall any you need in chronological order. I  had an issue with those last year and only reinstalling them in order fixed the issue. Might be worth a retry.

With SU5 and WU6 no more overclocking is active  (CPU), before I used it (and had no CTDs)

I'm having the same problem with crashes relating to clr.dll, and it started with SU5.
Tried all the solutions people have been posting online, without any luck.
The only thing that makes my sim not crash, is to fly outside of densly populated areas. Flights over big europeans cities makes my game crash after 5-10 minutes, while I've flown for hours over the Shetland islands and rural Scandinavia.
Makes me wonder if buildings are the issue, or something related to data being streamed to populate the areas.

Now MSFS is installed again from scratch.

I'm re-installed yesterday's update.

Regards.

That's exactly what happens to me!

Perhaps a memory issue?

Hi,

I don't know.

How do you know where's the issue?

Where can I find the culprit?

Thank you.

Different software you install can add they own versions. As an example, If you already had 2018 version installed and you installed some application/tool that installed 2013 version, because that was installed after the 2018 version, it can cause issues. I recommend going through the remove apps control panel in Windows and take a note of all the versions that are currently installed. The you can uninstall them then reinstall them in the correct order. It is a pain but it does work.

In your current situation it is definitely worth a try.
