Safe Mode?

Featured Replies

Recently when starting the sim, I got a message telling me to start in safe mode because of incompatibility issues with a 3rd party add on but it wouldn't say which one.  They said Safe Mode would disable all add ons.  I ignored it and started the sim and didn't notice any issues.  I've never seen this before.  Is it an issue?

It's since the last WU6. The function as such may be useful in case  MSFS stopped via a CTD or hangup. Unfortunately, it gives far too much false positives for some people, including me.

Asobo is aware of this and announced this will be taken care of by the forthcoming Hotfix. We will see...

Kind regards, Michael

Thanks.. So essentially just ignore it and wait for a fix?

That's what I do. Straight going to normal launch.

It’s designed to allow you to bypass an add on that could be causing a problem, if one is causing a problem.

Michael. I think if you are using anything like SimConnect or Navigraph or any exterior program that links to the sim you get the message if you don't shut them entirely down before you quit the sim. At least that's my theory.

Maybe, I used Simconnect networked nearly for every flight. sometimes other external programs. I still have to find a 100% definite pattern.

It's only a little annoyance but would be nice to see it resolved.

What would have been cool is when this box popped up it had a 'submitt report' feature that would capture the error logs and auto send to MS.
