Automatically Start .exe with FSUIPC

Featured Replies

Good day to all,

I am using RTSS with P3Dv4.5. As far as I know there is a way -via FSUIPC- to start RTSS.exe file automatically when P3D starting. I have registered version of FSUIPC v6.1.5. Can anyone explain me how can I do this automation?

Thank you in advance.

Stay safe!

Best regards,

Emil

You don't need to use FSUIPC, use P3D's own exe.xml would do the job

How can I do it? Which commands do I need to add into exe.xml?

As a example from mine :

  <Launch.Addon>
    <Name>AIFlow</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <Path>B:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Modules\aiFG\AIFlow.exe</Path>
  </Launch.Addon>

It should be very easy, and there should be some SDK example available online if not sure

I thought RTSS had a click box to load at Windows start up, however I think the command line for FSIUPC is :-

example

!1=// [Programs]
// Run1=READY,"C:\Program Files (x86)\EZCA\EZCA.exe  (not sure about the double forward slash)

I don't have FSUIPC installed at the moment due to moving Prepar3D to a new drive but you can try it in the fsuipc.cfg file/

Hi Emil, I don't use RTSS but use it to run EVGA PrecisionX1.

The neat thing is that it will close the program when you quit p3d.

[Programs]
Run1=CLOSE,KILL,C:\Program Files\EVGA\Precision X1\PrecisionX_x64.exe

By any chance, anyone knows how to make a navigraph simlink to close automaticaly when quitting p3d? As it is a .dll it doesn't work with the example I gave to Emil

It's a DLL loading into P3D, just like FSUIPC, so it should be terminating automatically when P3D closes. If it doesn't, if it's hanging instead, then the P3D process must also still be running, needing terminating forcibly via Task Manager.

If it is doing this regularly it needs to be reported to Navigraph for fixing.

Thank you all. I've edited FSUIPC according to Bob and Sergio's advices and it is starting now.

Hi Pete, yeap, it hangs and I have to terminate it manually through task manager every time. I'll report it to navigraph, thanks
