September 26, 20214 yr What do you call these lines that apparently randomly show up and disappear in-game, and how does one get rid of them? I have a true G-Sync 144Hz monitor and a GTX 1070ti cpu. Thank you. ===> My monitor below: Edited September 26, 20214 yr by bofhlusr Added details. Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space. September 26, 20214 yr Commercial Member I'm not 100% sure but that looks more like a scenery loading / terrain LOD / photogrammetry issue to me. Have you tried increasing the LOD cache slider or setting the render scale to 100 to see if it affects anything? Maybe even try increasing the lod range in the cfg file. Make sure to back up before you do and set to read only after editing. They are a few things you can try but honestly not 100% what the issue might be..

For the 'LOD range', which .cfg file (is it the usercfg.opt file)? I'm using MSFS on Steam and can't find the folder where the file is supposed to be in if that's the file you are referring to. Thank you. By the way, the video above is about 10 miles north of KHAF (Half Moon Bay) and a few miles southwest of the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco (California, USA). The beach is called 'Ocean Beach'. I"m wondering if that problem also happens to others as well. Edited September 27, 20214 yr by bofhlusr Added details. How do I change these in the graphic options settings? Which ones and to what values? Addendum: I went ahead and edited the file by changing both values to 2 in the Usercfg.opt file, made the file read-only, and re-started MSFS. Examining the Options screen, I don't see any changes. Something probably should have changed. Edited September 27, 20214 yr by bofhlusr Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space. No changes. The lines still show up. It seems like the lines show up in the same locations and with the same frequency. I'm wondering if that issue is isolated to me only. What would you call the screen issue? Anyone know the name for that screen artifact? I know it's not 'screen tearing' since that is different. September 27, 20214 yr It might be some sort of shadow.
