Where I live, Cats aren't allowed outside at all.  Ever since they passed that bylaw, the mouse/rat populations have exploded, but the local politicians just can't figure out why...

Here  where i live  cats  are  banned  from  going  outside  between  6pm till 6am

If that were the case here we wouldn't have our cats.  Shadow was a stray that came into our back yard and we started to feed her.  Eventually she came into the house and decided to stay.  She was pregnant and had her four kittens in the basement.  We gave two of them away and kept two.

A couple of years later another stray came into our back yard we fed him and he decided he liked it here and stayed.

That's howe we acquired four cats.  The kittens are about 6 years old now and I'm guessing Shadow is about 7.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

I think you'll find politicians everywhere know very little except how to tell enough lies to get re-elected.  And that's all they ever have on their minds.  So it wouldn't surprise me at all that they can't make the connection between cats and rodent populations.

Sad but largely true Sir...

They stayed because you are a decent person that's kind to animals. We need more like you.

Several cat points for you sir...  😺😺😺😺
