October 30, 20214 yr I have a wireless xbox one controller and was wondering if the small port on the back of the controller can be used for connecting the controller and using it in wired mode? It appears to be a micro usb port. The Xbox Series S/X has a usb-c port. Can anyone confirm either one can be used in wired mode without batteries? October 30, 20214 yr The new one for sure as I'm using it with usb c cable only... I will check later with my older x one controller and report back... Cheers T.
October 30, 20214 yr ...and yes... both working fine with cable only. I find the newer one with usb c a lot more stable on the wired connection. Micros usb is a bit wobbly. Cheers T.
November 4, 20214 yr Is it just using the cable for power and still working wireless, or is it using the cable for data too? James
