My Year in Review (part 1)

Recommended Posts

MSFS has been around for a little over a year and here are some shots I've taken.  I'll try to narrate them if I remember anything special.  Some you have seen already some probably not.

First flight I took in MSFS, somewhere near Ft Lauderdale FL

Had to try out the C700...landing KSNA

Factory livery for the Rotax 915is equipped VL3 - (not my livery) - but a project I was involved with early on in the sim.  It does make for a much more capable VL3....cruise speeds around 170 ktas.

Leaving KSFO in the Longitude again - pic was well received on Reddit hehe.

(I have a thing for bizjets it seems), C700 departing my local airport KSGS

Although I tend not to fly this Waco as much, I really enjoyed the striking red paint scheme

Here's a repaint from EDRM-Repaints (I ended up doing a lot of screenshots for him and another popular MSFS bizjet painter)

I believe this was my first payware scenery purchase - Fly Tampa's excellent Las Vegas (with a stunning freeware repaint)

I think everyone can agree, the WT G3000 has been a wonderful addition to the MSFS fleet.

Another EDRM repaint - the real CJ4 is based out of Dodge Center, MN KTOB - not too far from my home.

A bright star - one of my favorites

GotGravel's Vertigo - an experimental turboprop modification of the stock VL3 - is very fun to fly.

Freeware F22 - which is reasonably fun - when you've got the need for speed.  (Departing Duluth KDLH)

Magnificent pictorial recap, Ryan,...!! The firecracker-red Waco looks stunning...!

[Ryan, I could be mistaken, but did you mean "Sporty's Pilot Shop - I69 Batavia, OH"...instead of "...I69 Batavia, IL"....? I've just relocated to (old hometown) Chicago, Ryan, over last 2 weeks,...so, the "Batavia" name struck me...I was, in fact, passing through Batavia, IL, yesterday, just north of the Suburb, I used to live...have also visited friends in Fermilab/Batavia...in the past...]

Liked the (contrasting) poses of the two (virtual and absorbed) aviation fans in your last image...!

...🙂....

Many moons ago, I lived for so many years in OH, but, never got to know or visit that Warbirds Museum (seen in your last shot) in Airport I69...my pilotage (I mean my "virtual" pilotage...) instincts were not very well-developed, those days....🙂....

Do recall, though, visiting the Dayton Air Museum,...and, also the Wright Brothers' Cycle Company/Museum...in Dayton, OH...
