The 1080Ti was generally alright at 2k with fairly high settings. Only places like London brought it down, and that is with an old 8086K CPU (special edition 8700k) which I still use. The 3080Ti can almost hit 60 FPS at my settings, but not quite, so I get stuttering, or more accurately frame skipping when I try it, as it tends to do about 55-57 FPS. At least at 30 FPS it is amazingly smooth, cool, and quiet (about 55% utilisation). I need a G-sync monitor to do better, but at 4k they are massively expensive. Thanks Bobcat Kind of sums up what I've been getting - 2k works fine at HIGH + settings probably not great for 4k. I'll keep holding off for the time being. Addon EGKK is c40FPS on the ground in the CJ4 - so that's fine for me.

I can't throw away or let go for little to nothing a 6.5y/o Dell U3415W. It's a great display for its time and still looks great despite its limitations, curved, 3440x1440, w/ Dynamic Contrast (kind of precursor to HDR). But it's not Gsync, and does not support HDR. I'm hoping to hold out for a curved MicroLED, Gsync & HDR capable ultrawide display which I know is several years out and will cost an arm and a leg but would be the display to have if n when. Who knows perhaps it will evolve quicker than it appears.
