AIG Manager - Cannot install manager itself

Featured Replies

I see a few people have issues installing flight plans but I wish I got that far!

The installation process does not detect MSFS on my system. The FS selection rolldown menu is blank.  I have tried with MSFS running or not running and I do run the .exe as administrator. Must the AIG be on the same drive as MSFS? This is not specified in the tutorial.

Can anybody help?

I just extracted the zip to a desktop folder that is not on the same drive as the simulator. Are you sure that you extracted all the files from the zip?

what MSFS version are you running? Steam or Store? AIM is detecting your MSFS version by locating the option file in the settings directory of MSFS.

I have the store version and yes, I have extracted all files.

C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

there should be UserCfg.opt

can you confirm

Yes, it is there, right at the end, after the last   }  .   See below.

InstalledPackagesPath "C:\Users\Ph Thibault\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages"

Report over at AIG with the log files

Will do.

I can tell you right now that acc. to the log the MSFS installation was detected.

If msfs is the only sim on your system you won’t get the drop down menu.

Tony,

In your AIG TC settings, are you pointing to the AIG beta folder inside the community folder?

Start the sim, load the airport, then launch the TC. I've been able to get away with loading the TC at the same time that I load the airport.

If the sim is not started first, I usually get only a bunch of planes at one airport displayed on the map, but those planes are not at the airport. I have to restart TC and that puts all the in the air AI back on the map.
