Is Beta Range modelled on default MFS turboprops ?

Featured Replies

As per the tittle...

I thought I had seen mention to it in one of the SIM updates but haven't found any consistent way of controlling beta range ?

Yes beta range is here. Milviz PC-6 can dive in beta range.

I don't own that one.

Tried with the default Kingair, but I couldn't make it work, at least as it was supposed to...

I can't get default turboprops to do it either.

The aforementioned Milviz PC-6 does it (I think they use a hidden spoiler workaround, but someone will correct me if I'm wrong on that)

A developer called FlightSimGames (FSG) are also making a PC-6, which will have a beta range.

Also, its my understanding that Asobo are working on "turboprop logic" which I can only assume will involve programming a functioning beta.

Here is the thread on the FSG PC-6, which isn't out yet but early on they said they aimed release for December 2021:

Default aircraft usually lag on updates greatly. I think out of all default aircraft Kingair is the most poorly modeled with a lot of functionality missing

Plain and simple, it's not just like FS. Xplane models it very well.

i have it mapped to 'decrease throttle' and it works when i shift throttle below idle notch.. its just not called beta but sounds and behaves like it.. provides good decel..

p.s - have tried it on tbm and C208 and works fine in both..
