Vegetation render distance slider

Featured Replies

My PC is in for repair so I'm curious how well the slider works.

Unfortunately it was not implemented with Sim Update 7. The Feedback Snapshot had inaccurate information for that one (along with the old live events).

I was just about to start a thread titled "What Happened to the Vegetation Slider?"

There is NO vegetation-distance slider in the update -- at least not on my system. Any others care to comment?

read the post above

To repeat what Seb, iritated, said about the slider:

Why should it be there? The Low to Ultra settings are doing exactly that. They determine how far Vegetation is rendered.

Perhaps they could just rename the slider then to stop confusion. Or place a description of what each setting actually does. It’s a lot of poking in the dark…

The Low to Ultra settings of which option determine how far Vegetation is rendered?

The slider will come with Sim Update 8 according to today's Feedback Snapshot, assuming it is accurate.

The Terrain Level of Detail slider also dictates the draw distance, it seems to multiply the base value set by the Trees setting. It would be nice if this function were merged into a single slider that allows us to precisely set how far the trees draw out, without affecting other elements of the scene.

Thank you. I should have been able to figure that out for myself, but I didn't.
