November 22, 20214 yr In the flight model section I have it set to Modern, but all options within that menu are greyed out. When I purchase a new airport I like to take a "drive" around to see all the details so that means cruising through fences etc, so I like to turn off the crash realism. Any idea how I can bypass the insim setting by editing a config file within the FS folder? This wasn't a problem in previous versions of the sim, SU7 seems to have reconfigured a few things which I before had the freedom to turn on and off.
November 22, 20214 yr The flight model section's extra settings are for the legacy flight model only. And you don't want to use those at all. There is a setting to turn off crash detection. Can't remember where it is at the moment, but it might have been moved to somewhere in the Assistance settings. ...jim Edited November 22, 20214 yr by JimBrown ASUS Prime Z790-E, Intel i9 13900K, 32Gb DDR5 Ram, Nvidia 3090 24Gb, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500 GB and 1 TB, Samsung Odyssey G9 Ultrawide 49" G-SYNC Monitor.

November 22, 20214 yr The latest Update turned on Easy mode in Assistance Settings, which turns on crash detection and a number of other things. . You have to go into the settings and turn off anything that says easy, one by one. There are about 25 of them. Also if you go to content manager,, that does the same thing, changes everything to easy. Another bug courtesy of SU7. Edited November 22, 20214 yr by Bobsk8
November 22, 20214 yr Even on hard and crash detection on you can ram the F/A-18 into the ground and it just bounces and does summersaults... tough airplane. Take that A-10.
