November 22, 20214 yr We are heading into summer in the southern hemisphere but with FS2020 live weather we still have snow at Milford Sound in New Zealand and ice floes in the sound itself - been like that for months whenever I go there in the sim. With REX weather enabled it is much more realistic - low cloud and heavy rain like it is most of the time in that part of the world. Bruce Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
November 22, 20214 yr Welcome in the world of the bugged snow coverage, some consider as minor here. Same is true in huge parts of the Swiss Alps, with live weather you get a solid snow coverage and even frozen lakes, although none of this happens currently at those spots. Seriously, as not even meteoblue snow coverage available online shows snow in those spots atm, I wonder what could be so difficult for Asobo to properly implement the meteoblue data. Just another example of non-existent quality control over at Asobo... Although some seem to not understand why it drives me nuts, for me, this bug basically makes flying in the Swiss Alps impossible for me, at least with real weather. But then, if you see how many people seem not to be affected by bugs related to real weather, I am not surprised anymore that such bugs get so little attention. November 22, 20214 yr I had a great flight from Lugano to Caiolo (LILO) in Italy over the Lugano and Como lakes only to find, in the last stretch, the Caiolo valley covered with snow. 🤔 After 15 months the experimental snow cover which came in the early times is still buggy. November 22, 20214 yr Yes, that‘s annoying. They should also do something about the frozen lakes and bigger rivers e.g. by restricting them to certain latitudes. Some lakes in Switzerland were frozen for months when in reality this happens maybe 1-2 times in a century. I’d rather have no frozen lakes at all outside arctic zones than this. i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2
November 22, 20214 yr This is really for those frequently flying in these places. I live in Switzerland and it really spoils the immersion. Edited November 22, 20214 yr by steve310002
November 22, 20214 yr The same here. Very annoying bug. 1 year with the snow and never solved. Could someone fix it manually with a free mod? I dont know.

Not only in CH, I gave up flying around Juneau AK for instance, because LW always brings me snow even in Summer Dominique Simming since 1981 - [email protected] GHz with 16 GB of RAM and a 1080 with 8 GB VRAM running a 27" @ 2560*1440 - Windows 10 - Warthog HOTAS - MFG pedals - MSFS Standard version with Steam
