PacX certainly adds a lot of immersion for me, with boarding sounds, announcements, etc.  I really wish it had a feature where you could record your own custom announcements. Worth the money, especially on sale.

Doesn't it already have it? I havn't been using it for the last few months, but I remember, you can record your own announcments with a microphone, and it will play it for the passengers a few seconds later. Besides that, you can choose any mp3 (or does it have to be *.wav??) audio file for certain circumstances, for example for safety announcments of particular airlines.

All in all, if you had FSPassengers back in 32bit times, it's not a complete replacement anyhow. Yes, you can create airlines and fly for them, but you can have little influence on what's going on onboard, and it rather simulates the FA. And there, you must create or search for your own audio files for particular airlines or languages, if I remember correctly. For the FSL A32X, for example, which simulates its own cabin crew, I see no reason to use PACX alongside. So, for many simmers, it might add immersion and be worth the money, especially on sale. But personally, it didn't blow me away.

Have you tried AH2. That is like FSpax (the company side) you can create routes, fly cargo, purchase aircraft and handle your pilots.

I will definetly buy this PAX, combined with airhauler 2 I won't miss FSP anymore. Thank you.

After a long time I finally bought the 717. Still waiting for the big one but I think the 717 and the MD-11 have similar systems so I will take the opportunity to get familiar with the MD's avionics.

Not yet. I've read several times, that people anyhow havn't been too happy with it as a (partial) FSP substitude.. I'm gonna have a look at it again. Thanks for the advice.

The company aspect is much deeper than with FSP. You can have AI pilots e.g. and it simulates economy in real time. You also see your aircraft that are parked at the same airport, you have a map where you see your destinations, a income/fee screen with pax and cargo satisfaction rate, you may take a bank loan, lease aircraft, fly cargo or pax, and the list goes on. Some minor bugs and things that makes you a bit sad from time to time, like your pilots crashing your plane and a hard to learn interference, but other than that thumbs up. I recreated the Finnish carrier Blue One and can not wait to combine it with PAX, which I bought. Thanks for the advice.

Best,

OK, that doesn't sound too bad. BTW: Does it make sense to use it alongside with APL by SimBitWorld? I've been using the latter one for more than a year, and that completely changed my habits of using P3d (fortunately), as there was now a goal to reach.
