But fact is that besides compatibility, there are several non-exclusive conditions to a claim of fair use, and this satisfies multiple. Not that I think it'd ever get to that because I seriously doubt anyone would care to go to court over this, but when one claims legal reasons, it's a good idea to look at the whole doctrine, and not just the part that supports said claims. These projects are not in competition with each other, the issue is the rights to use, modify and redistribute certain models. Edited December 4, 20214 yr by Tuskin38

The whole puropse of the initial post was to point out, that there are still some open questions about the content of the package and that the Post on Discord seems to cause a dejavu. We all know how this has ended at the beginning of the year and it seems not much has changed since then....

"it's illegal!" is quite negative, without talking about the many further posts that basically equate to FUD. But again, what trouble? If FAIB sees this as trouble, he'll talk to FSLTL, and they'll sort it out, one way or another. Even in the worst case scenario, the only ones who would be potentially "troubled" are FSLTL themselves. Let em deal with it. Unfortunately, considering this and several precedents, it's obvious that some see other freeware products as competition that requires a hostile response. Editor-in-Chief at SimulationDaily.com

What precedents? There are no precedents. It has always been about model rights. You're seeing things that aren't there. Edited December 4, 20214 yr by Tuskin38
