A quiet foggy morning over Naples

Featured Replies

And nothing, was flying around there when i noticed the nice foggy air and how the Vesuvio shadowed part of it, thought it was quite a nice sight!

Superb shots!

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080

Spectacular shots...the last one is striking, indeed...!!

Great shots!

I was fortunate to fly over Vesuvius in a helicopter back in my Navy days....sadly I had packed my camera in the crates going to the ship by truck as we could not carry anything on board since the aircraft was stuffed with other essentials.  Flying over her at a few hundred feet and slow was a unique experience...I was struck as to how large the mountain was, how big that hole was, and could not imagine how terrifying it was to the people of Pompeii when she blew. 😞

The Naples area is a beautiful place to fly around though!
