January 6, 20224 yr I have a similar system Zimm, 6700, 1070Ti, 32 Gb 2400 memory and am putting parts together for a new build. 12700, 3070 32 gb 3600. My old system still chugs along pretty good, but obviously not great. Your GPU is only one generation old, so like several have mentioned, you should be in good shape with the 2070. Mobo, cpu, memory, power supply (850 watt Corsair platinum) are about $1000.
January 6, 20224 yr Author Thanks everyone... If I do a memory upgrade as well to get 32, do I just need to get 16GB DDR4 SDRAM 2400MHz? I have Kingston in there now so I would assume that I should get another 16 of Kingston DDR4 SDRAM 2400MHz, right? Intel Core i7 12700K (5.0GHz Max Boost Clock) 12-Core CPU 32GB G.Skill Performance DDR4 SDRAM 3600MHz Graphics Processor:12GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, GDDR6x System 2TB Western Digital, NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive

You can.. but if you are going for a new motherboard and CPU, you may as well go for new and faster memory, like 3200MHz.. Personally, I would stay with what you've got and save the money, but since you seem keen to upgrade, do not go cheap on RAM or PSU while you are at it.. Lastly, you may be able to run 16 GB (2 sticks) faster than 32 GB (4 sticks).. so that is one more thing to ponder.. Edited January 7, 20224 yr by Bert Pieke Bert
