Recent indications from Asobo in the Twitch sessions etc. suggest they are going to do it bit by bit with each Sim update (another 4 or 5 sim updates this year after the 1st March SU8 update hopefully).  Certainly they said they will be looking to implement DLSS in DX12 later this year, as initial DLSS testing has proved positive.

I would say give it another six months.  Some people are using DX12 now and loving it, but I have a few addons that aren't compatible (immediate CTD), and therein lies another problem - those addons will all need an update as well.

As you can see below, I have a fairly high spec PC with a 3080Ti, but I had slight stuttering when trying the initial DX12 offering, so I will wait until it stabilises.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

The new 1440 one doesn't need V sync as it uses G sync

V-Sync in the Nvidia Control Panel should be on when using G-Sync (Turn off in MSFS) - see this explanation (second article on that page)

Even if I try to limit frames either in Nvidia or MSFS, they won't limit

If using G-Sync & V-Sync, there is no need to limit fps.  G-Sync adjusts the refresh rate and V-Sync adjusts the frametime.

Thanks MrBitFlyer. The explanation is useful.  The main reason I am limiting frames is to take the load off of the GPU though and keep MSFS running smoothly.
