No ATC Sound?

Featured Replies

... as the title says. All other sounds incl. music work. I had my ATC sound permanently off the last few weeks, now I wanted to activate it again, but can't get any ATC sound. In the Sound menu, voices are set to 100%. The ATC Text-To-Speech is on AZURE. The Assisted ATC option is ON but doesn't produce sound either. Do I miss an important setting?

I’ve been caught a few times where the volume was turned down on my radio panel or GNS530…might check any volume dials on your given aircraft.

Like Regis9 said, have you turned the volume knob on your radio up?

General Options > Sound > Active spatial sound = ON

Is it?

is ON, Everything what is SOUND related is ON. But I hear no voices, neither from ATC nor from pilots. Engines, a/c sounds even from ai traffic everything works except the voices. I read about AZURE, can this be an individual problem? I have no idea what AZURE does. Is it installed/activated on my PC? I cannot find anything azure related in apps and services.

Can you hear yourself talk?

If ATC is in OFFLINE mode do you have the necessary language pack? I have no idea how to check that but believe Windows is doing the text-to-speech, not Azure.

Try a different MFS2020 server.

Don't know if this helps but here are my settings from the top half of the Sound menu: Default, ON, OFF, ON, OFF, AZURE, COLOR2, OFF
