January 27, 20224 yr Author I think the plane would better serve the Army than the Air Force. Most Air Force fighter jocks want to be in sleek, fast, new fighters like the F-22s and the GF-35s. The Army already has a ground attack mission with it's helicopters and I think the A-10 would fit in nicely with them. After all it is primarily an anti-tank weapon with it's Gatling Gun which, by the way, was also installed in the F-105. Although it might have been a smaller caliber. I don't know.
