Perhaps the dev team is "snowed under"!

I assume that label means they are investigating what the solution would be and what amount of work would be required versus what's already on their plate. The problem itself is often pretty self-explanatory, unless it's difficult to replicate.

It seems they have now finally found where users installed their sim. On my end the path is no longer defaulting to the C drive but has my custom path in Insatallation Manager.

I would fully expect they keep a detained log of what changes they make. Since it has not always been like this it should be simple to identify, and quick to remedy.  Of course I would also logically expect that they closely test and observe before releasing an update that causes effects like this.  But apparently not in this case.

I think we are sitting at an interim step in the process. They changed the way clouds are shown in preparation for another step that changes how the sim generates them. We got part A, and we're waiting for part B.
