We hope you’re enjoying the most recent World Update 7: Australia! Thank you for the recent feedback on both the free update and our new Local Legend aircraft, the Fokker F. VII. Next on the list for us is Sim Update 8, which focuses on bug fixes in the sim. This update is targeted for release on March 1st. As mentioned on last week’s dev Q&A, we are planning a public beta period for this update, which will include all platforms (that means Steam, too!). Stay tuned for how to join that optional flight soon.

Next Wednesday, February 9th at 10:30am PT, we have our third SDK Q&A live on Twitch. Our SDK Team is ready to answer your questions and meet with you. We hope to see you there!

Yep. Didn't happen last time (I'm on Steam) and probably won't happen this time either. Then again, I do know what I'm doing. Even if it does, I have full disk backups going back 15 days. An external USB disk array and Macrium Reflect synthetic full backups are a wonderful thing.

But does it not say "investigating"?  Really???  That investigation should last about two minutes!  LOL!

Perhaps the dev team is "snowed under"!

Did know that lots of people wiped out their sims during the last beta, both when opting-in and when leaving... Conclusion: you have to know what you're doing.

Anyway, a no go for me, would prefer to wait for the official SU8. Just want to avoid more betas, after one year and a half, I'm done.

Cheers, Ed

Currently (SU7) the XBOX app shows 2 versions of MSFS.  One is the GOTY version.  Both give the "Error On our side message" but was wondering which one I should try to install.
