Recommended Posts

Revision Changelog

 Update – February 14, 2022

- [02/14/22] Fixed issue in installation package with VC++ Runtime Redistributables check and automatic install preventing proper SimConnect initialization in some cases with Prepar3D v4.5

- [02/11/22] Adjusted theme reload frequency/triggers in EA+Volumetric Clouds mode for additional dynamic weather changes throughout a flight (also eliminates potential inconsistencies in conditions data compared with actual depiction)

- [02/02/22] Fixed issue with custom weather mode aloft editing page parsing issue causing wrong/low temperatures aloft in some regional/number format settings

- [02/02/22] Changed destination reload/force distance to 40nm (vs 70nm) with EA+Volumetric Clouds when Flight Plan is loaded and departure to destination distance is less than 100nm, to provide more variety in weather conditions for these shorter GA-type flights

I'm curious what this one does:

Adjusted theme reload frequency/triggers in EA+Volumetric Clouds mode for additional dynamic weather changes throughout a flight (also eliminates potential inconsistencies in conditions data compared with actual depiction)

Well, for starters it brought back the brownish haze even with CAVOK METAR.

I have put approximately 20 hours on it and have not noticed any issues.  Is seems to be very stable.

No issues - AS is really working with P3D now. Surprise for me (the old read the manual syndrome) was that it includes a built in weather radar gauge that you can bring up as a popup in any aircraft by opening the guage from the vehicle panel menu! Seems to work quite well with a lot of functionality. AS and P3D just seems to get better and better.

This version of ASP3D is working pretty well for me in P3D v5.3. I tried it yesterday.  I even have EA turned on now which I had avoided in the past in combination with Rex Skyforce clouds

Also, Hi FI have actually made this beta version (8080) their official full release now.

Note: there does appear to be an outstanding compatibility issue with ASCA so their recommendation in this case is to continue using B7884 according to the Downloads page of their website.
