FSUIPC and Camera views

Featured Replies

Now I have you confused I will elucidate. They are two separate subjects.

(1) I discovered after installing FSUIPC (Free or Paid version) loading time into the aircraft for me increased by at least 80%! I just start MSFS with the FSUIPC MSFS shortcut on the desktop, the FBW A32NX only takes about 50 seconds on average to load in, before it was many minutes.

(2) These cameras are exceptional:- https://flightsim.to/file/21684/custom-cameras-and-views-for-almost-every-airplane

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

umm, then don't you mean that FSUIPC decreased your load time?

Seemed he was saying  that FSUIPC increased his loading time.  I didn't think FSUIPC would have any effect on loading time???

If you tick let FSUIPC auto start the sim it certainly does speed up load time with a custom UI.

I don't see that option, I have paid version, where is it?

The installer! Run it.. Remove FSUIPC and you get the autostart option when you install.

Hi Bob, it's a light blue and black on a white background icon, use that to start MSFS, it does shorten the initial loading time, but the biggest increase in speed is once you have picked your airport and are loading into the aircraft. However, this is on my machine using the A32NX. Be interested to see your results.

Yes, 😜increased speed, decreased loading time. Don't ask how or why it just does, couldn't believe it myself at first, and, I don't get the lock-ups i.e. sometimes after loading into the aircraft it would become unresponsive and need restarting, it was always the A32NX, which is what I fly the most. I thought it was the s***load of add-ons I use like FS2Crew, FS Realistic, AIG, REX Seasons or Luke Air Tool plus 30 odd airports etc.

Thank you for this excellent tip!

I just timed both options - with and without FSUIPC 7 (registered) -, and my gain with FSUIPC is 7 minutes from my click on the FSUIPC icon to my cockpit ready to fly at the add-on airport.

For the test I used the FBW A320 at NZAA. Great find! I would definitely copy this to the tips and tricks Charlie.

Not relevant to this topic but to FSUIPC, another usage I love is the possibility to load a previously saved flight plan whilst you are already in the cockpit preparing your flight. If you use the FBW A320, you can still call the FP from the MSFS flight plan menu and it's all there.
