How are you putting up with the 3 or more minute load time just to see if that line you made is just right ?

3 min?  Mines almost 10 lol!

What you can do though is go into the Hangar view....select a different plane (from the one you're painting), save your changes, and then load up your plane again in the Hangar.  Meaning...I just leave my sim open.  I'm not sure if this works with Blender but it did for my photoshop paints.

Thanks but this plane I am working on (redwing Connie) will not work in the Hangar. All stock planes do work and you can move the camera but this one, and maybe other addon planes, are just one view in the Hangar..

Now if some genius would come up with a viewer for this I would gladly pay.

Best to get it into Blender for checking line alignment...not an easy way I've found in the sim yet to reload the textures.  There was a way before one of the last updates, but it no longer works reliably (you have to load/reload different planes several times using the Dev Mode Aircraft selector, and sometimes it just doesn't work).

There is also modelconverterX....but you gotta tinker with that alot and I've not had 100% success on all models.

I'm still learning blender....but have managed to get MSFS models into it and view them, still need to learn the texturing tools...steep learning curve.

I use the hangar to check WIP. You don't have to keep restarting the sim. Simply select another aircraft from the one you're working on, then return to the WIP. You should see your changes. I generally select another livery or two from the plane you selected just to make sure the existing work has been purged. Admittedly a bit of a faff to begin with but it soon becomes routine.

P.S. If you didn't understand that, don't worry. I just reread it and I didn't understand it!

Which add-ons? Can you fly them?

Don't have the Redwings Connie. What else do you have that won't work?
