March 5, 20224 yr Like many, I turned 'EyeAdaption' off in the UserCfg.opt file - mine has been off for over a year. I just turned it back on and was pleasantly surprised at the effect. The much brighter clouds looked more realistic to me plus the ground lighting looked better. One thing that frustrated me was the overly dark cloud shadows when everything else looked ok, but with EyeAdaption back on the cloud shadows look better. If your EyeAdaption has been off for a while, it may be worth turning it back on - give it a little time for you to adjust to see if you prefer the effect. Many times when flying the sky is so bright it almost hurts to look at it - EyeAdaption on helps simulate this better. I also turned ColorGrading back on but it went back off soon after - the bright purple roads put me off 🙂 CPU Ryzen 7800X 3D RAM 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz GPU GEFORCE RTX 4090 Monitor AOC AGON AG352UCG UltraWide G-Sync @ 3440x1440 Internal Storage 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD External Storage Three 4Tb HDs
March 5, 20224 yr Author I had several GEforce filters turned on, but with EyeAdaption on I removed all filters as they were not required! Best looking MSFS I have ever seen. Give it a go! Will playing with those Gforce filters or that Eye adaptation voodoo setting remove snow - so I can actually see runways/taxiways? Just asking for some friends....... Regards, Kendall 7800X3D/G.B. March 5, 20224 yr Eyeadaption is pretty good and I do still use it. It would be handy if we could adjust the intensity though. Perhaps allowing settings of 0, 1, 2 and 3 rather than 0 and 1. March 5, 20224 yr Author Here are some screengrabs with EyeAdaption turned on. I turned off every GEForce Filter apart from a little extra vibrance. Transforms the sim for me. March 5, 20224 yr In cockpit lighting seems a little better thanks. Unfortunately any foray into Graphics settings in-sim reverts EA back to off.
