Which Airliner Will be the Next Release?

Featured Replies

It seems like we’re heading quickly toward a number of airline releases in the next while…maybe even “soon”.  What do you figure the odds on favourite to be first is?  In my mind the players are Fenix A320, PMDG 737, Leonardo MD-80, Just Flight BAe-146, and maybe as a sleeper pick the Inibuilds A310 (they said last month was going to be a very good month but clearly that hasn’t come to fruition yet).

My money at this point is on the Maddog or BAe-146 being the next airliner release, based on both being streamed and Just Flight saying they see an April release as being very doable and the Maddog NDA being lifted.

I’d be happy to see any of them of course, and it’s all speculative, but which one be would be your odds on favourite to be our next airliner release?

Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU

Similar thinking for me, in following order:

1) Leonardo Maddog (I think by the end of march)

2) Just Flight BAE 146 (April)

3) PMDG 737/Fenix A320 (May/June)

Yup, i think it will be either the Bae 146 or Maddog. i still think the PMD 737 and Fenix A320 are some way off yet. Especially as we're not seeing any in flight demo's of either.

I predict PMDG will be the last one on the list .

I agree with your forecast.

In addition, I can't help it, but have a feeling that we may have a surprise newcomer to MSFS that no one knows anything about yet (including myself of course), I am talking about the FSLabs Concorde for MSFS released in sync with P3Dv5. They keep silent on their intentions, except for P3Dv5 which was announced a few years ago. This is highly speculative, but I hope it does materialise in 2022.

Another Just Flight project has gone missed in the past two years, the B742/1, it was meant to be released for P3Dv4, and then vanished from the radar screens after a number of beautiful cockpit shots had been published. I wish it comes back alive and well for MSFS some days...
