Video Card on sale for $771.64 Free shipping with Prime. That is the best price in over a year on a good Video Card. I don't know how long it will be on sale, but I almost bought it last night for $939.00. Glad I waited till today!

MSRP for that card is $599. You are still paying +30% premium to line the pockets of scalpers and retailers. I will not pay a cent above MSRP, in fact I have now decided to wait for discount to MSRP. Anyone buying now (unless it is a real emergency) continues to play straight into the hands of greedy middlemen. If we all hold back a little longer, prices will crash

Not so, if you go to the EVGA site you will see that l:EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming, 08G-P5-3797-KL, 8GB GDDR6X, iCX3 Technology, ARGB LED, Metal Backplate lists for $829 and it's out of stock like the rest.  So, $771 is a great deal in this day and age! But, that sale has sailed, I see them as high as $939 on Amazon and even  higher on Ebay and Newegg.

That's interesting Pete, but it just shows that even the AIB partners have ramped their prices massively from the suggested MSRP price. While MSRP is for a reference (basic) card, the AIB partners add things like better coolers, but in the good old days it was unheard of to see a $200 (38%) mark-up from MSRP.

To me this suggests that the entire industry is now corrupt and overcome with greed. For example, I bought my RTX 2080 Super (MSI Ventus OC Edition) back in December 2019 for less than its MSRP at the time, and that card was certainly a step-up from a reference card. That is what I'm holding out for and like the Ukranians, I shall not waver.
