FBW A3NX reflections and pink screens

Featured Replies

I am flying the new exp version and noticed 1. the screens look very shiny: there seems to be a new reflection added to it (or however you call it)? It's nice but maybe a bit too much. I can see a sky reflected which I shoulnd't be able to see at all. Not sure if I like this. But my main problem right now is that 2. the white on the PFD and MFD etc. looks pink...! Anyone else noticed this? Looks rather awful.

EDIT
I also notice all screens (including the MCDU) react rather severely on the what I'd call HDR effect where they get brighter or more dim depending on the light on screen (don't know how else to put it: bloom perhaps?). And this happens in very obvious steps too. When I look around with TrackIR the screen go from rather dimmed to bright instantly at a certain moment and back again. Bloom seems really overdone right now in this plane but maybe that's due to MSFS itself...? I didn't read about bloom being changed or updated?

EDIT 2
Wow, seriously, that automatic light/dark effect is really very bad right now with this plane...! Has the graphics changed somehow? It's unplayable for me, really.

EDIT 3
The FBW also overspeeds all the time... This was it for me right now: it's the first time I quit a FWB flight before landing but things look to awful. Odd, because it seems most are enjoying the exp version.

Yep, some in-cockpit colour issues have been reported to the FBW Team and acknowledged - they are working on it.

Couple of threads in here touch on the topic, with FBW jumping in 🙂

I got this problem today as well. Great to hear the team are already onto it! Such an amazing add-on!

Good to know. I'll get back to the plane whenever things have been solved. 😉

The pink or rather purple tone is intentional. It's a coating seen on the neo displays as verified by IRL pilots. With improvements from Asobo, we'll be able to add more flexibility to these effects in the future. The brightness on the other hand will be fixed soon.

Exactly what I was thinking… that pink purple tone is more realistic.

I certainly hope they add a switch... My old peepers find these new reflections challenging.
Especially when zoomed out to see the runway on Approach.

I, too, have this problem.  At 66 years old, it's hard to see the displays.  It's hard to criticize FBW, though.  They have been exceptional with their A20N.

Fix for low brightness is now available on the development version, will also be available soon on experimental

I happen to like the magenta hue because that’s how they actually look in real life.
