Ground dynamics & altimeter

Hi folks,

I’m delighted to have a detailed GA twin in MSFS and am really enjoying this one so far. I would say, however, that while the taxying of the aircraft feels really nice, on the takeoff roll, the aircraft has that weird jerky sideways motion that all of the default MSFS aircraft have and I have never experienced in a real aircraft. Can this be looked at and changed, at all? As I’ve purchased the aircraft on beta, I will try and make little suggestions or error reports as I’m so delighted you’ve brought a detailed GA aircraft like this to MSFS, thanks guys.

Also, folks, is there any way we could have the altimeter with hPa/mb for those of us in Europe?

I agree that takeoff and landing exhibit this behavior.  I've yet to find an addon that does not.  I truly think Asobo needs serious work on the ground physics/friction.  I'm not sure if decreasing rudder sensitivity might help or just harm the issue.  You also could try a slight extremity dead zone on your pedals - I had to do that on mine - my old Saitek pedals are a little twitchy on the ends of the axis.  One annoying issue though is that you'll need to set any controller sensitivity up every new start of the sim.  SU8 wonderfully ruined this AGAIN *heavy sigh*.  Hope Asobo patches it someday for good.

I believe FSW has heard a few requests for the mb altimeter.

Well, the Carenado PA34 doesn’t have this effect, so it can be eliminated.

It does for me.  We should compare sensitivity settings or something. In fact there's only one addon that doesn't have twitchy ground rollout issues - it's the Rob Young turbo bonanza mod.  Not even sure if that works anymore in SU8.  Be sure to add a bit of a crosswind for your tests.  Any aircraft (ok almost any excluding tail wheel) can easily handle 10 knots of direct xwind.  Not the case in MSFS.

This will be available for the pilots altimeter with the next update of the C414 if you select metric units for the Sim ( General Options > Misc > Units of Measurements > Metric ).
