MSFS forum for dummies

Featured Replies

Hello chaps,

As far as the official forum goes - can someone please explain to this complete MSFS forum n00b what I need to do in order to post or vote?

I'm logged in, but as it stands, I can't do anything!

I had to use another Microsoft account (after my original one would not log in no matter what - MSFS technical support bascially said there's nothing they can do about it and I should use their discord).

But I'm logged in and can't do much?

Some advice would be much appreciated!

Cheers,
Rudy

Is this true in the Community | General Discussion forum over there? If you can post anywhere on that forum you should see the +New Topic icon in upper right. But that particular part of their forum allows almost anyone to post who is logged in.

Do I need to reply to someone else's topic before I create my own or something??

If my memory is correct, I believe that might indeed be the case: You need to participate briefly in group discussions before being allowed to post original threads yourself. Perhaps I am wrong.

I'll give that a go - adding my unwanted opinions to things is a strength of mine haha!

That is a real joke isn't it?

So word not allowed frustrating.  Had to create a separate Microsoft account to just get into the forums.  Really annoying - and they have no interest in fixing it.  Support took two goes and several weeks to reply bascially saying they can'd do anything and go to their discord.
