April 25, 20224 yr Hey Dave, Still seeing an ongoing issue with vectoring being given way late, or not at all. Will get "expect vectors to the ...." part way through the flight which seems early. Will hit what P2A Calculates as TOD and no descent instructions given (in previous versions if I recall, once that point was hit it would start the descent instructions). Then it will just let me carry on without ever giving me the actual approach or assigns it really late and it's dive and drive. Let me know if you need some more logs but still seems to be off with vectoring and approaches. Thanks.
April 27, 20224 yr Yes vectors and altitude instructions are not working correctly. Edited April 27, 20224 yr by Fiorentoni For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
April 28, 20224 yr Also to add.... I noticed last night in 2q10 build that I was flying and never got a decent from FL360. I was told to expect the arrival that I filed but never was given any decent instructions. And lastly I was given vectors but I was vectored right on Final approach and usually ATC should give you about a mile or 2 before FAF. That way you can get on it and get established before hitting FAF. Too much goes on @FAF to be vectored at FAF and then try an decend and get all setup and contact tower. Usually you will get you are so many miles from FAF maintain 3000 till established. Cleared ILS 12 Approach. I mean it's not wrong what it is doing just would like to get vectored to localizer to not pick it up at FAF. For GA it's not a big deal to be vectored like that cause your are slower and less to do, but in an airliner it's pretty tuff.
April 28, 20224 yr Commercial Member P2A creates an Extended Final Point which is aligned with the final approach and before FAF. How far before depends on the "Vector Leg Length" setting in Config. It should NEVER vector you directly to the FAF. Flying Airliners, you should probably set the Vector Length to 4 or 5 NM instead of the default 2NM. This will give a more relaxed approach. If you don't get the descent with the 2q10 version, or if you get vectored directly to the FAF, please email the P2A Log file for the flight to me at [email protected] so I can have a look. 2q10 should have the fixes that are supposed to stop the missing descents while vectoring. Dave
April 28, 20224 yr Commercial Member I will be posting the 2q version shortly, which will be 2q13. 2q10 was a non-public version.
May 11, 20224 yr Last versión have incorrect descent rates when the approach is vectored. Are you going to fix that in the next update?
