PMDG Mouse Settings conflict with fenix

Featured Replies

Guys I had followed the PMDG 737 manual to go with their mouse settings vs default msfs.  All is fine with that.  But the settings  I made in the sim mouse camera menu are preventing me from pulling and pushing the MCP knobs.  I do not remember what the default settings are like for these.  Can somebody help me perhaps with a screenshot so I can get it back to default?  Thanks.  Here is what I have now.  I do not get the up or down arrows anymore.

Isn't there an option to just make a new default profile for the mouse? You just have to switch it every time you use the 737 then.

Yeah I just tried to go to default mouse setting or even create a new mouse setting profile.  But it didn't fix it.  Now when I hold the left mouse button over one of the dials on the MCP in the fenix a little hand looks like its pushing in.  But I can't figure a pull and I think it's because of a change I made in the mouse settings when going to the pmdg style.  Holding down right mouse button just makes the hand disappear.  No arrows at all

maybe an easier way to ask the question.  What is the pull knob setting in control settings under mouse for msfs?

Have you tried the default mouse settings which are included in the 737 download, so you can go back to them ? It starts at about 5:00 in this video - ( sorry if I have missed your point )

I did that with the XML files already.  However there was also an additional step that was needed for proper right clicking.  See two links below. One from PMDG and one from avsim.  I had to delete a few assignments in there that I somehow can't get back.  It doesn't affect flying PMDG or my other planes.  Just ones like this where I have to pull a knob.  The video doesn't cover any of that.

Push and pull with the mouse should look like a arrow up and an arrow down. You need to be right in the middle of the button then up a bit or down. Thats how it should look. Same for both the NG and Fenix. OR the FBW.

that's what I'm saying.  Because of the changes I made in the menu I no longer get any arrow.  Up or down.

Glad you sorted it. This could be a thing for me to remember, as I'm fiddling with mouse settings too. 🙂

Strangely a simple solution what felt like was going to be a very complicated problem
