Hi

After syncing the CDU to PMDG 737 the CDU screen on the tablet remains black without the content appearing in the CDU on the server.
When I press one of the keys on the CDU on the tablet the mark appears on the CDU screen on the server without any mark on the CDU screen on the tablet.

I do not know if it is related but after the link,  appears on the server next to the AVIA icon such there are 3 links between the server and any device.

i posted a topic to the support but i didn't get any answers

thanks

Ok guys, this obviously should not be the case.

Can you please doublecheck the .ini file of the 737 is set correctly and contains the DataBroadcasting flags?

If you use your PC's browsers, do you see the same behavior?

In my pc browser is the same, the press on the buttons impact on the sim's cdu but the screen of the pc's cdu is black/

i don't understand what you ask me to check

thanks

it's 737_Options.ini - for the store version it's located here: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\packages\pmdg-aircraft-737\work

All the way at the bottom of that file you should see this, with all values =1.

[SDK]
EnableDataBroadcast=1
EnableCDUBroadcast=1
EnableCDUBroadcast.1=1
EnableCDUBroadcast.0=1

Hi and thanks
I checked the file and saw that it has 3 lines instead of 4. I added the missing line and started the simulator, the situation remained unchanged, I checked the file again and again I saw that it was missing a line. I added the line again, and made sure that the line indeed remained in the file, I ran the simulator, the situation was unchanged and the examination of the file revealed that it was missing a line again.
The missing line is: EnableCDUBroadcast.0=1

when i check the icon of aviaserver ( right click ) i notice that after i make the connection i always have 3 connection line' is it normal ?

Hi,

that's a very interesting finding - thank you for sharing this! Can you please check, if the RIGHT CDU is working? (the EnableCDUBroadcast.0 is for the left CDU, EnableCDUBroadcast.1 for the right).

If the setting gets deleted, then that's something the PMDG team will need to investigate (aviaServer doesn't delete this). But first let's see if the right CDU is working or not.

And as to your last question: Yes - as described in the manual, it is perfectly normal to have multiple connections.

Ok, then I think we need to involve PMDG at this stage.

I will do so from my end however I would like to ask everyone who is affected by this to also reach out to PMDG and open a ticket so they can find a common reason why this is happening to a few of you but not to the majority of users.

I've just run some tests and this line appears to be superfluous: EnableCDUBroadcast=1 - doesn't seem to cause a problem if it's there, but if it doesn't exist the aviaCDU still controls the simulator CDU.

For those experiencing this problem I would suggest:

1.) close MSFS

2.) create a backup of 737_Options.ini and name it 737_Options.ini_BACKUP

3.) open 737_Options.ini and delete [SDK] and any of it's sub-entries

4.) save 737_Options.ini

5.) launch aviaServer and when this popup appears click YES

6.) leave aviaServer running

7.) launch MSFS and load the 737 into a parking spot - don't load onto a runway - configure aircraft so the CDU's are active and you can manipulate functions on the CDU's.

8.) launch 737 L CDU or 737 R CDU on your remote device and see if it works

If it still doesn't work close MSFS, clear community directory of all addons except the 737, launch MSFS, load 737, and try your remote device again.

Well did any of you having problems get it to work, and if so what did you do?
