its not it flies beautifully not all videos are created equally

I'm not being a nark here, but I have to counter that as solely an opinion.  My experience in handflying the HJet closely matches ITB's - I personally think it is not at all convincing to hand fly; from the rotate to the climb out, to approach and landing.    Of course, neither you nor I is "right".   But it's not objective to say "X is wrong.... it flies wonderfully".    There have been some models in the past where almost everyone would agree they hand fly beautifully.   But I honestly don't believe the HJet is one.

There are plenty who feel it flies great - but also plenty who, in their view, don't find the hand flying characteristics convincing.   I've watched plenty of HJet vids on YT and see no evidence that in the real plane, rotation is heavy and then immediately followed by a huge pitch up moment, that requires instant and considerable nose down trimming.

Absolutely! You nailed it! The flight model rotation needs to be tweaked. The magnitude of pitch up does not happen in RL. Also, not related to your comment, there were words to the effect that Into The Blue is all washed up. I don’t think so!

I'm flying to bad weather destinations. I'm doing the unthinkable. I'm using default ATC as the Co-Pilot and flying approaches to minimums. I had no idea this could be so much fun!

A flight model can be considered art and therfore subjective.  I like it.
