Hi, there is an option in msfs which assist you to if you are using the build in ATC. You have to disable if you are using p2a otherwise msfs will switch back again and again.

If I'm right you can find it here:

Options/assistance options/piloting/ai radio communication (ATC)

Check if this option is turned to OFF

Best regards

I am using XPlane 12 and encountered this problem  (with ToLiss A346) -- couldn't tune radio, either manually or under P2ATC control, or switch between active and standby.

I finally discovered that the setting "auto-tune recommended frequencies" was checked in XPlane 's native ATC menu (the page that displays nearby controllers and ATIS) , and seemed to be overriding the P2ATC and manual commands.  Unchecking this option seems to have corrected the problem.

Well well!  Thank you, this solved my radio freq. problem - would never of thought to look there for a solution. Cheers.
