June 24, 20223 yr Let assume that i have 4 buttons, (1 2 3 4). Is there anyway to use (1,2) to select knob and (3, 4) to rotate it? We have altimeter knob, speed knob, communication frequency knob. I want to use 1 to select previous knob, and 2 to select next knob. Then use 3 to rorate anticlockwise, and use 4 to rotate clockwise. Is it possible?
June 24, 20223 yr You should be able to do that in Spad.next. Create a local variable that can hold values 1-3 and change that number up and down with buttons 1 & 2 Then when buttons 3 or 4 are pressed you can use the value of the local variable to know which control you are trying to alter. June 24, 20223 yr Joystick Gremlin can probably also do it with modes, where 1 & 2 switches between "altimiter knob mode", "speed knob mode" etc, and depending on which mode is active then 3 & 4 sends the proper keystrokes to rotate the altimiter/speed knob etc. If scripting is your thing then an Autohotkey script can also handle some similar logic to switch modes/keystrokes.

June 27, 20223 yr Not sure how to best do what you are suggesting, but I use the mouse wheel as a rotory knob by hovering over the knob and turning the wheel whichever way I want. Most of the time, I use the B key to change the altimeter and D to change the DI, but the mouse wheel for the heading selector, though I could use it for the altimeter and DI. Interact with cockpit just using joystick If you want MSFS to think your joystick is actually an XBox controller, you could try the x360ce controller emulator: https://www.x360ce.com/ It lets you assign joystick buttons and axes to act like axes and buttons on a virtual XBox controller.

Thansk, that works like a charm
June 29, 20223 yr At 8:09 is an example of how to make a keyboard button or controller button turn a knob. The hard part is figuring out which command in the options list is the one to turn a specific knob. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. June 29, 20223 yr Just buy a Bodnar Board and add as many buttons and rotary encoders as you like. Comes with USB cable, super easy to make any controls. And not expensive. http://www.leobodnar.com/products/BU0836/ Or use a Knobster in combination with AirManager, even easier. https://siminnovations.com Com GA Pilot, Retired • FS2020 • FS2024 • Xplane 12 • Current Machine: MSI B760 GAMING PLUS WIFI• Gaming Desktop Motherboard Intel B760 Chipset • Intel Core i7 (14th Gen) i7-14700 3.40 GHz Processor 64GB RAM • 2 / M.2 SSD 1TB • MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER
