Using the 'new' paint kit I've encountered this odd thing;

See that white upside down L on the rudder? No way can I find find it. It looks like part of the seams that didn't get coloured in properly.

This the other side of the tail as it ought to be. OK, I haven't found some bits!

Ron,  I know less than nothing when it comes to paint kits (although I did have a paint by numbers kit as a kid!), but I will see if I can find out anything from some others in case no one else solves the mystery here.

Mark is now aware of the "inverted L" and will report it to the texture company. So more to come I guess.

I don't want to be a nag but I thought you ought to know that there are a load of wayward white lines all over the plane. I'm thinking that whoever it is does this stuff knows already, but I'm just sayin' in case. 😏

 

sure looks like the same seam is on the other side, but its dark and not showing the same white reflection.

It's not a reflection because it stays there at any angle.

Thanks. The phantom lines have gone from the tail and various other places. The new paint kit makes it way easier to find the louvres on the engine. About a week too late for this current paint though! On a brighter note, I wont have to battle with locating those pesky little vortex generators.

Just when you think it's all sorted....

 

There are two rows of vortex generators and what appears to be a residue of the old de-ice boot. Yes this IS using the new paintkit. You've no idea how mad this makes me.

You need the new paint kit. The shadow from the old vertex generator location is what you are seeing behind the actual new location. The boots will also be offset with the wrong paint kit.

I seem to spend a lot of time apologising on here. there was a bunch ot those COMP files in the folder. (I have never understood nor played with those thing so I'll plead ignorance.
