A very short hop in the Red Arrow liveried Spitfire

Featured Replies

Just wanted to see what this looked like. Very nice, I think. So just a quick hop out of Cottesmore (EGXJ) to Wittering (EGXT). Cloudy sky meant the take off shots were too dark to be worth showing, so already underway in first pic. Just passed over Oakham, and that's Rutland Water in the backgound (a nice place - visitied there a lot when my mother lived up that way)

A smooth landing, but then my usual wobbling about all over the runway before coming to a stop. I think I need to re-calibrate my pedals

Thanks folks, haven't been out in this for a while, but it's one of those aircraft that is always a sheer joy to get out and about in. I would imagine the buzz from flying in a real one must be amazing.
