August 6, 20223 yr New York Times: "Finland is called ''the land of a thousand lakes,'' but at last count there were 187,888 of them - more lakes in relation to a country's size than any other. Indeed, with a population of about five million, Finland has one lake for every 26 people." Took the JPL C152 for a flight and can confirm that there are indeed a lot of lakes 😉
August 6, 20223 yr Nice picture. Canada has more lakes than the rest of the world combined. Estimated at 2 million. So roughly 1 lake per 20 people. Finland wins on lake density per land area. Edited August 6, 20223 yr by MarkW Mark CYYZ
