August 17, 20223 yr If that's factual, that's pretty sad. I've had plenty of hard landings, but never considered snuffing it. Could it be the pilot is compensating for the guilt he feels over sending the poor soul back to the rear ramp to 'take a look'? They were doing skydiving practice runs. He may have gotten so upset that he got ill and lost judgement. Makes me wonder if he got disoriented and thought he had a chute on. Pure speculation on my part. August 18, 20223 yr Moderator Hard to say but if he did get that upset over it to the point he decided to kill himself, it’s possible that he had some undiagnosed mental issues. If that were to be the case, it’s better that he did what he did now rather than possibly becoming an airline pilot, having a breakdown in flight and taking an entire airliner down with hundreds of people on it.
