Is it a special edition of the Standard version of MSFS, or are the extra features/planes going to be staggered across the three versions again? 40th anniversary edition is a special edition of MSFS for all versions of MSFS. Whether you have the standard, premium, or premium deluxe, you will get the new planes (ie. iniBuilds A310) and other goodies that come with the 40th anniversary edition. So yes, the 40th anniversary edition applies to all 3 versions again. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
September 10, 20223 yr Standard version for me. Never had interest in "extra" default airports and "extra airplanes." especially coming from the legacy MS flightsim franchise waste of money imo. Edited September 10, 20223 yr by jbdbow1970

Basing it on the fact that as a gamepass subscriber, I already have access to the base version, something that would not seem to ever go away as with all MS first party titles, and mainly the fact that while I know you get an extra 5/10 planes and 5/10 airports with dlxp/premium respectively, are those addons worth it, being I see there's a lot of 3rd party ones being released? For example, I saw there's an A320 included, yet there's already the Fenix A320 released which is supposedly much better? I know the 320 comes with base anyway, but for the dlx/premium content, is it worth it if there are better payware addons? Or in other words, if I will buy the 3rd party addon anyway, why would one spend extra money for the other versions? (Same for airports). Hi. You need to check if you would like to use the airports and planes from the Premium Deluxe version. After 2 years of using the Premium Deluxe, I think I probably got my money's worth, although I went from FSX to MSFS, so I had been waiting over a decade for MSFS to come out (none of the interim simulators had really decent graphics between FSX and MSFS to interest me to come back to flight simulation). For me, I wanted everything MSFS had to offer and I didn't want to miss out on anything or regret not having a plane or airport, that came with the Premium Deluxe version. One thing you want to take into account is that in SU 10, the MSFS team has unlocked much of the encryption of the Deluxe and Premium Deluxe planes, so that the community can mod them. This means that for example, the community can further mod the 787 Dreamliner. Right now, there is no decent 787 in MSFS and Quality Wings has gone AWOL regarding their 787. So for example, you really like the 787, and Quality Wings or another company does not release a decent 787 in the next 2 years, perhaps the community will do a stellar job of enhancing the default 787 in MSFS and you would benefit from that with the Premium Deluxe version (on the other hand, if Quality Wings does release a 787 for MSFS in the next 2 year, maybe you would be better off with the Standard version and spending the money you save on the Quality Wings 787). There are many other Deluxe and Premium Deluxe aircraft that will be moddable by the community once SU 10 releases. Check to see what planes and airport come with the Deluxe and Premium Deluxe version. Do you need those planes or airports? If you don't, then save your money and stick with the Standard version of MSFS. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
September 10, 20223 yr I went with the standard. I've had no regrets until now as the only airports the other versions gave me were ones available (or soon available) as payware. I tend to do most of my flying in US, Canada, Caribbean, South/Central America. Sometimes New Zealand. Though with the SU10 changes in regards to encryption I think I could see myself having some interest in the Longitude. We shall see. I will upgrade my version if needed. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

Something that @Mgard78 should know is that upgrading may cost more, or that's what people said before. So buying the Standard version, and then deciding to upgrade to the Premium Deluxe version later, may cost more than buying the Premium Deluxe version outright. This is something that @Mgard78 should investigate since that was the pricing structure in the past, and that pricing structure may not have changed. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

I don't even think WT put too much effort into the longitude. Maybe some G3000 work. FM is still default.
