My Biggest Problem

Featured Replies

I was hoping my biggest problem would be fixed by the new update, but sadly that has not been the case.  I think I'm the only person who is having this, but my logbook doesn't update, meaning the list of recent arrival and departure airports never changes either.

*Sigh*

Oh well, I'll just have to keep plugging along the way I have been doing.

If that's your biggest problem you should be very happy! 😉

Have you considered using something like volanta instead?

I'm sure you have been through this, but do you have dev mode enabled? My logbook never works when I have dev mode enabled. It gives erroneous information and never records anything. I have never liked the logbook feature in any sim. Probably because of the way I track hours real world. You can also do the same. Use a computer version or buy an actual logbook. Your time will be easier to reference and it will give you an extra boost of realism.

Rick

Use this free app and it will record every flight you do, from now on, in depth. I have flights I did in P3D from 10 years ago, still there.

Another vote for Volanta. I just started to use it a few months ago and it is very nice. I upgraded to Premium and it's so handy to save screenshots!

Andy,
Please describe how you are starting your flights, and how you are ending them.  With MSFS's logbook it makes a difference at both ends.  Not that I like or otherwise rely on the MSFS logbook other than to have it report my flight time.  I keep a log in MS Excel.

I'm doing the same as always choose a start (and sometime end) location.  Some flights I'll follow a plan, others I'll just see where it takes me.  None of it is a huge deal, except that I like to leave from the last place I arrived.  My logbook was ok until late July, then it shows one flight in August when I fly all the time.
