GSX so many stairs

Featured Replies

If I taxi on to a gate with no jetways and ask for stairs, I always get 3 sets of stairs attach to the aircraft (in 787 and 777).
Realistically this doesn’t happen. Is there any way to reduce the number of stairs offered?

Within the sim, you can edit the aircraft exits in the addons gsx menu. So you can change it so there is no rear left door for example and you won’t get stairs for that door anymore.

similarly, you can check the box that says 'disable staircases' in the parking position editor.

That removes ALL stairs though, as far as my experience has been.

you can do it by each parking spot-just make sure you have only one spot selected in the left hand menu

By "removes ALL stairs" he means all of the stairs at the parking spot.  As I read the OP's post, he doesn't want three stair trucks, but instead one or two.

As @okupton posted above, the way to do that is to do a custom aircraft edit in GSX and configure the exits you want excluded as "no door at this position".

Oh, I see- ok, then yes, the aircraft editor is the solution.
