I've just booted up P3D5 and all of my AIG traffic has disappeared...it's been working for years and suddenly, gone! Can anyone help? All I did was run an update through AIG Manager yesterday, I didn't change any settings.

first i suggest to check, if the aigmanager is activated in the add-ons. If you have Lorbys add-on manager it´s an easy task to re-activate it.

I don't have Lorbys add on manager (sorry don't know what that is).

How can I check if AI Manager is activated?! I haven't deactivated it and it was fine two days ago...?

Remove AIM installation folder, just delete it - only aim!!! folder, and not uninstall, - delete.

and not the folder where it installed the fps and acs and just get a fresh copy from their website and start it.

 

I've downloaded the AIM installation folder, restarted AIM and I'm just stuck on the opening screen with 'Load Airports' for ages (almost half an hour now). Not sure whether to stop it, restart..?

Don’t remove anything. Check in the P3D menu under Addons that you have AIG entries. From memory there are two.

You don’t say if you installed BGL files. If so the Addon needs to be enabled. For AIGFP files Traffic Controller needs to be running.

One other thing. If you have a single airline assigned as FS9 that can cause all Ai to disappear. Launch AI Manager and check if you have any. If so, delete them and check if they’ve returned in P3D.

It does that on occasions. Just terminate the process via Task Manager and start the program again.

Regarding your lack of Ai check in Addons that AIGAIM AI Traffic is enabled. There is also another entry for Traffic Controller - AIGTech - Traffic Controller.

 

Ray, an important correction: FSX flight plan files are what P3D recognizes. But if there is one FS9 flight plan file in the collection, the whole set will disappear. A quick solution is to recompile all traffic files with AIFP.

Thanks for the clarification Jorgen. It happened to me a long time ago so my memory was a little rusty. Yes, even one FS9 plan will kill all Ai.

Check your P3D v5 Addon folder. Is AIG shown there?

@BWBriscoe, AIG is quite a complicated installation. In P3Dv5 Addon Folder you should have an AIGAIM Airports folder with files inside it.

In C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3Dv5 there's an add-ons.cfg that should contain two AIG entries.

Without being able to see what you have or don't have it's difficult to advise. Programs don't just disappear. Something has happened and AIG needs fixing. It's probably best if you raise a post on their forum and detail as much as possible what the problem is.

I've looked in the add-ons.cfg and I can't find anything with AIG (I've pasted it below).

Also, now if I try and load AI Manager or AI Traffic Controller it just gets stuck on the Load Airports page and nothing else happens. It really seems AIG is very broken! I've posted on their forum, but haven't had a response yet (I always think here is much more helpful and active than developers forums).

Hi Ray...yes I do have a user called mesh (named after the PC manufacturer!). Thanks for all of your help this far.

One other strange anomalies...I've noticed I have some very limited AI (at EGLL just Delta, Thai, Singapore, Austria and KLM even though I have all airlines installed).
