October 1, 20223 yr why not just delete them from the content manager if you're not using them? Not that the file takes up that much space.
October 2, 20223 yr I just in Content Manager uninstall all world updates for regions I do not fly, until I do fly them. They are simple and quick to install. I do not worry about cities per se. Are they separate from the Word Updates? If so I would treat them the same. Canada I will keep installed. NHL season is upon us! But if you use the Addons Linker, you can move them to a new folder and enable/disable them as required. In the Official folder you will find the Onestore folder. Add a new folder to the Official folder, called PG Cities. Drag all the fs-base-coverage-map-xxxxxx-tin folders from the Onestore folder to the PG Cities folder. In the Addons linker, add the new PG Cities folder. Tools / Options / My addons folders / Add... OK, OK. Now you can enable individual World Update PG Cities addons at will. 🙂 The base level PG cities are still there, and can be turned off in the sim by turning off Photogrammetry, if required.. Some newbies may not know that MSFS purchased thru Steam will have a folder named Steam under Official instead of a folder called Onestore. It's just a different name, the process is the same. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. October 2, 20223 yr You can uninstall (in content manager or 3 hours ago, Tuskin38 said: why not just delete them from the content manager if you're not using them? Not that the file takes up that much space. Because it takes time. If you store them, then you can literally restore them all in 20 seconds. It takes about 10 seconds to boot up addon linker, and then usually one click to uninstall or install whatever you wish. And Microsoft one day may decide that you can't prove that you own the rights to them. MS does not give proper receipts. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. October 2, 20223 yr If I start the sim with different stuff from the Official folder I get this message: (at least I think that's why it appear) EDIT: And when I started the sim last night, I had to install a small mandatory update. Just now as I thought it best to normally have all the WU stuff enabled (via AL) I got the warning that GOTY-tin was already there. So - I think that was the mandatotory mandatory update. So using this method can indeed cause some issues as things get out of sync. Edited October 2, 20223 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
