Should I reinstall updates 10 & 11?

Featured Replies

Since installing the 10 & 11 updates I cannot adjust the Saitek controllers. How can I reinstall the updates?

Thanks,

Howard

There's a chance the USB and HID devices' Performance tabs are check marked to allow Windows to put them to sleep. In Windows Device Manager. You probably have over 20 of those listed in Device Manager. Windows recheckmarks those boxes from time to time and I have to go uncheckmark them.

There is no windows performance  setting nor registry setting that will stop Windows from doing that from time to time.

Probably you are not familiar with this behavior of Windows.
During updates when there are new drivers for USB, HID, and network devices they get reset to default for power savings. All these will lead to different issues, particularly for flight simulators, not for day-to-day PC usage.

Sounds like a logical assumption to me

Drivers don't normally update with Windows updates unless specified.

Something I would not do.

If you get SpadNext it will automatically sort the usb sleep problem out without you having to fiddle about in Windows. Just start it  as administrator.

This really weird because everything works as it should in other flight simulators. Is it possible to redownload the 10 &11 updates?  If so, how is that done?

Thanks all,

Howard
